Lancesoft - Streamlining the Foundations of Titans

The Brief

Lancesoft is a recruitment agency that works with you, for you, helping connect top talents with best-suited roles. The website focuses on a clean design and snappy navigation to help get users the jobs they deserve. This case study explores how Lancesoft was built to accomplish these goals and aid users in being hired to places they're perfect for.

User Research

For Lancesoft, I began with a cohesive and extensive competitor analysis which enabled me to come up with a generic prototype. I then conducted user research by using that prototype in interviews of users of aforementioned competitors, which helped me gather insights on their needs, pain points, expectations and common gripes. Using the dummy prototype, I was then able to strip elements off sequentially until only the essentials remained. Based on collected data for pain points and expectations, I then added the necessary flows and solutions that helped me make Lancesoft more intuitive and user-friendly.

I then reviewed my competitor analysis to improve areas of deficiency or similarity in my design. I had the chance to follow up with some of the interviewed users later to ask them to rate Lancesoft's design and plotted that on a usability chart which the design lead by 46%.

The main user pain points discovered in the research process were:

• Visually overstimulating UI with few static elements

• The website being cluttered with non-essential information

• Unclear UX choices that hamstrung user flows

Design Ideation

For this case, I started the design process by sketching paper wireframes for the dummy prototype based on gathered data from the competitor analysis, using Figma to create digital wireframes used for user interviews. I then went back and reiterated on the dummy, establishing brand guidelines with a modern and fun typography and a uniform color palette. The next step was to produce low-fidelity wireframes for snappy, smooth navigation and user-friendly layouts and later proceed to high-fidelity wireframes and prototypes with seamless transitions and a quick, responsive design.

The Results

Lancesoft's loyalty to it's users and it's bold-minimal design, straightforward UI, responsive and elegant UX has proven extremely effective in increasing user satisfaction scores and retention rates. Being laser-focused on addressing users' pain points and expectations has propped Lancesoft up as a state-of-the-art recruitment agency ready to disrupt the industry.
